Our group therapy sessions at Emerald Eagle Healing offer a supportive environment where adults can build emotional resilience, enhance interpersonal relationships, and develop life‑changing coping skills. These DBT skills groups are grounded in evidence‑based dialectical behavior therapy methods designed to improve emotional regulation and social effectiveness.
DBT Skills Group is not a process group—it functions more like a class. The emphasis is on learning, practicing, and applying skills in a structured, supportive environment.
We cover four core DBT modules:
Build awareness of the present moment and develop grounding techniques.
Learn how to communicate clearly, set boundaries, and maintain healthy relationships.
Understand your emotions, decrease vulnerability, and increase emotional stability.
Develop practical tools to cope with crisis situations without making things worse.
Format: Open, rolling admission — participants can begin at any time and complete as many sessions as recommended.
An initial appointment with Dr. Raphaeli is required before entering the group.

To maintain a safe and non-triggering environment, detailed discussions of suicidal or self-harming behaviors are not permitted in group. These topics are addressed in individual therapy.
